傍晚經文
耶穌說了這話、隨後對他們說、我們的朋友拉撒路睡了、我去叫醒他。
論到睡了的人、我們不願意弟兄們不知道、恐怕你們憂傷、像那些沒有指望的人一樣。我們若信耶穌死而復活了、那已經在耶穌裡睡了的人、神也必將他與耶穌一同帶來。
因為死人若不復活、基督也就沒有復活了。基督若沒有復活、你們的信便是徒然．你們乃在罪裡。就是在基督裡睡了的人也滅亡了。但基督已經從死裡復活、成為睡了之人初熟的果子。
國民盡都過了約但河、耶和華就對約書亞說、吩咐他們說、你們從這裡、從約但河中、祭司腳站定的地方、取十二塊石頭帶過去、放在你們今夜要住宿的地方。你們就對他們說、這是因為約但河的水、在耶和華的約櫃前斷絕．約櫃過約但河的時候、約但河的水就斷絕了．這些石頭要作以色列人永遠的記念。 - 這耶穌、神已經叫他復活了、我們都為這事作見證。 - 不是顯現給眾人看、乃是顯現給神豫先所揀選為他作見證的人看、就是我們這些在他從死裡復活以後、和他同喫同喝的人。

Evening Scripture
After he had said this, he went on to tell them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up."
Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either.And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.
When the whole nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua,and tell them to take up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan from right where the priests stood and to carry them over with you and put them down at the place where you stay tonight."tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever." - God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact. - He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen--by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
