學生不能高過先生、僕人不能高過主人．
你們稱呼我夫子、稱呼我主、你們說的不錯．我本來是。
學生和先生一樣、僕人和主人一樣、也就罷了．人既罵家主是別西卜、何況他的家人呢。〔別西卜是鬼王的名〕 - 你們要記念我從前對你們所說的話、僕人不能大於主人。他們若逼迫了我、也要逼迫你們．若遵守了我的話、也要遵守你們的話。 - 我已將你的道賜給他們．世界又恨他們、因為他們不屬世界、正如我不屬世界一樣。
那忍受罪人這樣頂撞的、你們要思想、免得疲倦灰心。你們與罪惡相爭、還沒有抵擋到流血的地步。
我們既有這許多的見證人、如同雲彩圍著我們、就當放下各樣的重擔、脫去容易纏累我們的罪、存心忍耐、奔那擺在我們前頭的路程、仰望為我們信心創始成終的耶穌．〔或作仰望那將真道創始成終的耶穌〕他因那擺在前面的喜樂、就輕看羞辱、忍受了十字架的苦難、便坐在神寶座的右邊。 - 基督既在肉身受苦、你們也當將這樣的心志作為兵器．因為在肉身受過苦的、就已經與罪繼絕了．

Morning Scripture
"A student is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.
"You call me `Teacher' and `Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am.
It is enough for the student to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebub, how much more the members of his household! - Remember the words I spoke to you: `No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. - I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.
Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin.
